Q. HOW MUCH IS IT TO JOIN?

A. We are pleased to offer a free taster session to all new prospective students. If your child likes it, and they nearly always do, it’s simple to join. We charge a very competitive price of £11.50 per student per weekly session (2hrs) for Mezzos and Majors and £7.75 per student per weekly session (1hr) for Minis and Dots (30 mins). Payment is made half termly. We understand that having more than one child can be an expensive business so our youth theatre siblings receive a 15% discount on the joint weekly class fees.

When you come along for a taster session we have a ‘welcome pack’ which goes into the all the finer details. If you have any further questions regarding the fees please don’t hesitate to contact Laura who will be happy to chat things through.

Q. ARE THERE PERFORMANCES

A. Yes, absolutely! We perform at a number of local venues including the Wilford Noyce Centre, The Borough Hall, St Catherine’s Concert Theatre, The Electric Theatre and the Cranleigh Arts Centre. We put on two shows per year. One at the end of the Autumn Term and another at the end of the Summer Term. We also take part in the Godalming Carnival and other local events which are optional.

Q. CAN I STUDY FOR A QUALIFICATION?

A. You can! Our LAMDA Acting courses have a 100% success rate and are open to all young people from ages 8 and above. For more information, please visit our LAMDA page.

Q. WHAT DO WE WEAR TO SESSIONS?

A. The most important thing is to be comfortable so we suggest loose clothing which is easy to move in. Because our sessions may include energetic games, dance, stage combat and other physical activities, we require every student to wear sensible shoes. We have a blanket ban on flip flops! In addition, every student is required to purchase a T-Shirt. These are £12.00 each and display our printed logo with your child’s name printed on the reverse. Hoodies are also available at £20.00. These are not compulsory but are very popular. Aside from comfortable clothes and a fab t-shirt, bring along a drink and a snack as we do have a brief break half way through the session.

Q. DO YOU RUN IN THE HOLIDAYS?

A. Our weekly sessions run termly so we break up like the schools for Easter, Christmas and the Summer but we do regularly run specialist holiday workshops so there is always something going on!

Q. WHAT AGES CAN JOIN?

A. We take students from 3 up until 18. Students are split into four groups according to school years. Please see the top of the page for details of each class.

Q. I’VE NEVER ACTED BEFORE. DOES THAT MATTER?

A. No! We take students with all levels of skill and ability. For this reason, we don’t believe in holding auditions. Our taster session is a chance for you to meet the gang and see what we’re all about!
